Not Keith – cocaine addict and alcoholic
Not Keith is a London taxi driver who found cocaine helped him drink more. From that day on there was no looking back. Though he managed to maintain relatively moderate use in his 20s, by the time Not Keith reached his 30s he was selling coke to pay for his own habit and racking up huge debts.
In this interview he shares his early drug experiences, how he heard about drugs, how they affected his relationships, the lengths and depths he went to over cocaine, other drugs he has used and how he experiences them – and how he finally managed to leave drug use behind him. He also discusses his despair at seeing his own teenage son falling into a pattern not too dissimilar from his own.
This is a compelling story, reaching across three generations, very well told.
